Our Story

I'm Wendy and together with my daughter Robyn, I am the very proud owner of Ffansi Ffrogs, based in Ruthin in the heart of North Wales.

In 2023, during Robyn's own prom dress shopping experience, we noticed a gap in the market. The experience felt impersonal, with dresses hidden away, and we didn't get the support we needed to explore different styles and colours to find the perfect dress for Robyn. We left feeling that such an important milestone deserved so much more than that.

So, we built it. On a whim. And it turned out you wanted it (fortunately for us!). A local option for your Prom Dresses run by people who really understand what you need. So much so our customers voted us Best Fashion Store in North Wales in both 2025 and 2026.

We were advised not to put too much about ourselves in this section but I fundamentally disagree as I think it's important you know who is behind a business and their "why" - our why is very simple. We both understand from the perspective of the adults and the prom girls, what you need from us and when you know that, we hope it gives you confidence that you can trust us.

Every appointment at Ffansi Ffrogs is one to one. Your stylist gets to know you before anything else, and the dresses follow from there.

You get a dedicated fitting room, comfortable seating for your guests, and a full hour that is yours to enjoy. We carefully select every dress (this is a fancy way of saying we argue a lot over dresses) to ensure you have the best choice and can find something that genuinely feels like you, without it ever feeling overwhelming.
